I had an old Ikea frame that I was no longer using, but did not want to it throw out. Here is what I came up with: I started off with this frame: Using a bit of sand paper, I sanded the frame to make it a slightly rough so that the paint would stick.  I put a coat of primer on it before I went ahead and did two coats of white paint.
