About me

Hi There!! I’m Christine!  A 30 something full-time Mom, Wife, Blogger and The D.I.Y. Dreamer.  I have two gorgeous little ladies in my life, Gabrielle and Emanuelle, my two sweet daughters.  I’m also lucky enough to be married to my best friend Sébastien. I’ve been blogging for years but I only started theDIYdreamer.com in 2011.   I LOVE IT!!  The DIY Dreamer is where I share a bunch of stuff (do it yourself projects, crafts, lots of tutorials, recipes..) that I created.  Lots of my creations are created with my little family.

We bought our very first home a few years ago. We are learning how to fix things on our own and we are having fun doing it. We still have major renovations to do including gutting our bathroom, gutting our kitchen, changing all the windows around the house, finishing our basement, and we also have a leaky garage roof to fix. Oh, and we also have Gabrielle’s bedroom to renovate.

Yes, we have our hands full. But we have learned a lot of stuff along the way, like if you are working on project and guests show up, continue to work anyways or you might have a tremendously hard time to wipe off grout from the brand new tiles you installed. When someone suggests to you to skip a step will renovating and your gut says not to listen… you should listen to your gut or 7 years later you might still not have baseboards.

I’m currently a proud BEHR DIY Expert. I’m also an Orange Naturals Mom. And very happy to say that I’m also a DRIcorespondent via DRIcore, DRIcore products are the backbone of your basement renovations! I’ve worked with Martha Stewart Crafts through the 12 Months of Martha program. It’s a wonderful program that allowed me to test out the latest Martha Stewart Crafts products every month. I’ve also been a Disney Junior Mom. I’ve had the privilege to work with Canon, Jo-Ann Fabric Craft Stores, HGTV, Staples Canada, Silhouette America, Fisher-Price, Netflix, Cutting Edge Stencils, and that’s just to name a few.

Summer of 2013 I went on a huge adventure with GMC called GMC Hidden Treasure Adventure. I traveled with GMC and other bloggers on a hunt for yard sale treasures to decorate a home for Habitat for Humanity. What an amazing adventure it was. It was truly life changing!

My creations have been featured over 330 times on a variety of blogs. I also LOVE to feature other people’s wonderful creations that’s why I host a weekly linky party From Dream To Reality every Tuesday evening.  It’s a perfect place for YOU to share your creations with others.

I sure hope you stick around!  I promise, you’ll have a BLAST here!!
