Nativity Scene Inspiration!!!

Nativity

Would you believe that I don’t own a Nativity Scene?  It’s something that I always wanted to have, but I have never gone out to buy one or make one.  I remember when I was younger, when I would go to a home that had one under their tree, I would play with all the little characters.   My daughters now do the same thing each time they visit my parents’ home. I’ve put together a nice collection of Nativity Scene Inspiration for all of us who do not have one, but would love to own one.  What I like about [...]

Waterless Snow Globes!!!

Waterless-SnowGlobes

Two weeks ago I visited See Vanessa Craft with a Waterless Snow Globes Tutorial for the 20 Crafty Days of Christmas.  I just love how the Waterless Snow Globes turned out, that I figured I should show them off here too.  Enjoy the tutorial my friends. ***** With Christmas and winter approaching I can’t help but think about the snow that will be arriving in no time at all.  My daughters LOVE snow globes, they each own a couple of them.  The only problem with snow globes is that they are heavy to carry because of the water.  My girls love to carry [...]

Wall Mounted Advent Calendar!!!

I’ve been buying chocolate advent calendars for years, however I never display them because they are tacky.  We usually hide them on top of the fridge and take them down each morning for the girls to open their special doors and then we place the calendars back in their hiding spot.  However, this year we decided to put and end to the chocolate advent calendars, instead… we created our very own Advent Calendar.  Oh and not just an advent calendar but a huge 4 feet wall mounted advent calendar. It’s really GORGEOUS!!  I wish I would have been able to [...]

I went to Wal-Mart with my Mom and came across some good sales, like Christmas cards for almost nothing… I figured Hey.. I’ll need some for sure next year.  Oh and then I noticed that all Christmas lights were half off… which turned out great because my Hubby and I have a big outdoor Christmas project we want to do next year (oh well this year I guess hehe we are now in 2012) and we need lots of lights.  So [...]

Holiday Cards!!!

Do you purchase pre-made holiday cards or do you create your own? I usually create my own cards. This is our card from last year: I used Mari Koegelenberg’s Jubilee kit and used Truly Blessed Design’s (Marsha) template. The year before that I made cards with buttons.  I made the buttons look like Christmas balls.  It was quite easy.  I glue the buttons on the card and used a black pen to make the hooks.  Unfortunately I do not have a photo of the cards. Here are a few Christmas cards made with buttons for some inspiration: Button Christmas Card by [...]

Jewelled Christmas Ornaments!!!

I have lots of Christmas ball ornaments with nothing on them so I decided to dazzle them up. I started off with a regular Christmas ball: Gathered all the dollar store jewels I had, along with some nice Christmas ribbon: And started applying the jewels to the balls.(What’s fun with the jewels I bought at the dollar store is that they already have glue on them.. no need to apply glue to stick them on the ball). Once I was done applying the jewels, I added a beautiful Christmas ribbon. I also dazzled some red ones with green jewels.  Silver [...]
