My hubby and I like to keep that to a minimum so I try to make something special for the girls that doesn’t involve [...]

Sewing Machine Covers {Inspiration, Tutorials, Patterns, Shops}

Sewing Machine Cover

Sewing machine covers are a great way to protect your machine from dust when you are not using it. My sewing machine came with a plastic cover which I put on it as soon as I took it out of the box. However it’s ugly and it doesn’t seem to keep the dust away. I’ve been roaming the web looking for cute sewing machine cozies. Let me tell you, there’s so many gorgeous options out there. You can make your own or you can even buy one already made. Here is what I found: Sewing Machine Covers   Protective Cover [...]

Sewing 101

Since I’m new to the whole sewing world, I put together a Sewing 101 – Guide for beginners, like me.  I included everything I believe is essential to start sewing from a sewing dictionary, threading a machine, tools, fabric and easy sewing patterns.  Sit back and enjoy all these great sewing tips and tutorials. Le-Troglo

All I got for Christmas are some AWESOME gifts!!  And I mean AWESOME.  But before I brag about what I got…. how was YOUR Christmas?  Did you spend lots of time with your family, did you travel a lot from one place to another or did you stay in? Our Christmas always involves three jammed packed busy days of travelling from one place to another.  We started off with Christmas at my in-laws, then Christmas at home, Christmas at my Grand-parents, Christmas at my Aunt and Uncle’s and then Christmas at my parents. We got to relax at home yesterday which turned [...]

How to Fix a Loose Thread!!!

I bought Emanuelle a new outfit two weeks ago for her daycare photos.  The outfit is ADORABLE!!  The day before the photos I took the outfit out and layed it on her bed and noticed a loose thread!!  UGH!!!  That just irritates me, it’s a brand outfit, never been worn and there’s a thread that’s unravelling which will cause the hem to come apart.  Obviously, at this point I have no time to go back and exchange it and second of all.. I would look kind weird returning an outfit just because of a hem that’s letting go.  So I took out [...]

Pincushion Jar!!!

Fun retro-style Pincushion Jar perfect to give as a gift or to keep for yourself. Last week we finished a jar of jam, I couldn’t bring myself to throw it out because I loved the shape of it… and most importantly of all I LOVED the little writing on it.   Can you read what is written on the lid and embossed on the glass? It’s written Bonne Maman (Good Mom).  Of course I’m certain you wouldn’t be able to throw it out either, right?  So what’s one to do with a cute jar… transform it into a pincushion jar so [...]
