Traveling to the US – Secret Beach – #TELUS

Parsons Beach - Kennebunk Maine

We recently went on a family vacation to Kennebunkport in Maine. We knew we wanted a beach vacation and we didn’t want to travel too far. Going to Maine was an easy decision. We visited Kennebunkport 12 years ago, before we had kids, and we loved it. It’s about a 5 hour drive, which means we could enjoy the beach on the very first day. We all LOVE the beach! When traveling, you still want to be able to stay connected even if you are on ”vacation”. I think it’s important to have in case of emergencies, check maps, read … {continue reading}

Our newest family member – Canon EOS #RebelSL1

Canon EOS #RebelSL1 Camera

Every year, for the past 9 years, we go to Smugglers Notch Resort in Vermont as a family for Thanksgiving. The first year we went, Gabrielle was only 3 months old and now she’s 8.  Crazy how time just flies by. This year it was only my parents and my family who went (usually my sisters come too with their families), however we did bring along our newest family member… the Canon EOS Rebel SL1 camera. And what a fun family member to travel with! You can see some pictures from last year’s trip here: Our Family Tradition. You’ll notice right … {continue reading}

#GMCHTA - Day 3

GMC Hidden Treasure Adventure #GMCHTA Day 2 & 3 were as memorable as day 1. Thursday was the first day of the 127 Yard Sale and we decided to kick it off officially at Hudson, Michigan. We made sure that all our Acadia Denalis were all packed and off we went. First purchase at the World’s Longest Yard Sale #GMCHTA Would you believe that I was lucky enough to find this secretary desk at our very first stop? It was the most beautiful desk EVER! GMC Hidden Treasure Adventure #GMCHTA – Day 1

I left home at 6:00am. When we got to the VT border I was greeted with Why? Why? Why? by border patrol. Every answer I gave resulted with a why? I don’t think the young gentleman knew what a blogger was and he only stopped asking questions when I mentioned the World’s Longest Yard Sale. He responded with ”Good-luck with that!”. I would have thought bringing up GMC and Habitat for Humanity would be enough… but nope. Sébastien and my daughters dropped me off at the Burlington airport and off I went. Nobody cried even though we all knew that … {continue reading}

Hobbit Home {Le Troglo}

Hobbit Home {Le Troglo} ~ Back in January I mentioned that my husband gave me a very original Christmas gift; 3 nights in a hobbit home called Le Troglo. We were lucky enough to be able to book it for last week. The wait for this home is CRAZY! It’s booked every weekend until October 2014! Luckily for us we were able to find a three night slot during the week (we called to make reservations the first week of January). Hobbit Home {Le Troglo} Le Troglo and all the homes on the site are Eco homes. There’s no electricity or running … {continue reading}
