You know Christine… from The DIY Dreamer… well she has an earring problem…
I swear it’s like she’s addicted to them…..
YES I AM!!!
I was browsing through Walmart and came across this:
Metal Pendants and Metal Chain
The pendant kit came with three of each size… so I figured I would make one pair of earrings in each size and cut the metal chain in two (to make two chains) and put one pendant on each.
I took the packaging off and took out four earring hooks…
I opened the hooks…
I inserted the earrings…
I closed them and voilà….
Time to make the chain…
When I took the chain off the cardboard and saw it’s perfect long length…
I just couldn’t bring myself to make it shorter.
So I added a little loop…
and turned it into a long elegant chain.
Of course… they are just too darn pretty not to sport them right away….

Wow, I’ve been looking for earrings just like that, who new it was as easy as WalMart. I love the chain, too. I think I’ll be buying both next time I’m there. :) I really hope my store has them, too. Thank you!

I LOVE!! I just discovered our Wal-Mart has a small jewelry section. I’m addicted to beading.
I’ve done that, too, with the earrings. It’s fun. Thanks for sharing. linda
Sooo cute! I use to make jewelry and bought a lot of my beads and things from Walmart, it is a small selection, but I’ve found some cool stuff there. It’s definitely no Michaels or JoAnn’s. I’m venturing back into it, I’ve already started buying supplies, I think I’m going to have to head over there and check it out. I’m going to have to invest in new pliers, I use to have some and I cannot find them anywhere. I loved those things! There was a company I use to get a lot of my stuff from I think it’s called Fire Mountain Gems, they had a lot of cool stuff! That’s where I got my pliers from. They are a little more expensive, but you can find a lot of rare stuff through them. Nice job on these! I’m very inspired.
Anyway, I am a new follower. I found you at Make The Scene Mondays linky party from like 2 weeks ago.
