Ever since Michaels opened here in Quebec, Gabrielle and I have been going there often to roam around the store. The last three times we went Gabrielle has been eyeing the wooden reindeer. Finally this week they were on special and only two left (one of each). Of course when she asked if we could pick them up and said sure. As soon as we got home we started working on them. Gabrielle and I are happy to introduce to you our Wooden Glitter Reindeer.
How to make Wooden Glitter Reindeer:
Step 1: Make or buy wooden reindeer and lightly sand them until they are smooth. Step 2: Mix brown paint with some Mod Podge (in this case the Mod Podge is used as the sealer, to prevent the paint from soaking into the wood) and apply two coats of this mixture onto your reindeer. Step 3: Apply Mod Podge to your antlers and sprinkle gold glitter on them (the wet Mod Podge will make the glitter stick to the antlers). Let dry and you are done.

And now you have yourself some Wooden Glitter Reindeer.
Simple enough right? You all know I’m all for quick and easy crafts.
Have you created anything special for the holidays with your kiddoes?
Have a FABULOUS day!!

Looks like you have a crafty kid too. These are great and you guys did a fantastic job! I never would have thought to use Mod Podge to hold the glitter. I probably should have known that, lol.
