Glow in the dark Bat Canvas ~ Halloween is only a week away! EEK!! You haven’t started decorating yet? No worries.. I have the easiest and fastest Halloween decor tutorial for you! Not only is it easy, it only requires few supplies!
Glow in the dark Bat Canvas
- White Canvas (I bought mine for $1 at the Dollar store.)
- Black cardboard (or construction paper) to make bats or purchase pre-made bats.
- Multi-Surface Glow-in-the-Dark Finish from Martha Stewart Crafts
- Foam Brush
- Glue dots or adhesive strips
Step 1: Apply 3 coats of Glow-in-the-dark finish on the canvases. Let dry 1 and 2 hours between each coat.
Step 2: If you do not have pre-made bats (I used Dimensional Bat Silhouettes from Martha Stewart Crafts), make some out of black cardboard or construction paper. (You can check out the No Sew Bat Pillow that I made, it demonstrates how I made the bat.) Step 3: Use sticky dots or adhesive strips to stick the bats onto the canvases.
And voilà, you have yourself Glow-in-the-dark Bat Canvases!
What do you think of them? My daughters think they are the coolest Halloween decoration ever! hehe I must say that I love having something that glows in the dark, it gives our Halloween decor just the right touch at night.
Hope you’re having a GREAT day!
