A couple of weeks ago I shared photos of this beautiful wallpaper on Instagram. The response of love was totally expected, it’s a stunning wallpaper. It’s called Feathers Multi and can be found at Graham & Brown. I just love it.

As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to do something with it. The wallpaper has so many different colors within it that it makes it such a great choice for so many different spaces and even DIY projects. And that’s exactly what I did, I used it for a DIY project!

I have a super cute dresser that I’ve owned for years. I’ve always loved its wonderful shade of green, but not so much inside the drawers. They seemed bare and in need of some color! So I did just that, I gave them some color!

Instructions:
Step 1: I started off removing the bottom of each drawer. Question of removing a couple of nails and the bottoms slide right out. Then I proceeded by cutting my first piece of wallpaper. The wallpaper isn’t as wide as my drawer bottoms.

Step 2: I applied paste on the bottom of the drawer, as wide as the piece of wallpaper.

Step 3: I put the piece of wallpaper I cut over the paste.

Step 4: I ran my hand over the wallpaper to make sure to get rid of all air pockets.

Step 5: Next up, I cut a second piece of wallpaper which would cover the rest of the drawer bottom. I made sure to cut a piece that would match with the design pattern. So the feathers would line up perfectly. I used both scissors and a precision knife.

Step 6: I applied paste on the second half and applied the second piece of wallpaper over it, making sure the seam was lined up perfectly.

Step 7: I repeated these steps until I had all three of my drawers lined. I slid the bottoms back into their places and nailed new nails to secure them back into place. And voilà, I was finished.
