Kid-Friendly Recipe: No Bake Peanut Butter Snack Bites
My favourite cookies have always been peanut butter cookies. I loved making them with my Mom and my sisters when we were growing up. We would each take turns measuring, cracking the eggs, and stirring. My favourite part, besides eating them haha, was flattening them with a fork! Actually, the first time I baked cookies on my own, I made peanut butter cookies. They are simple to make, and oh so delicious!
My daughters love peanut butter cookies as well, in fact, they love anything peanut butter. They are known to come home from school and go straight to the kitchen cupboards to grab crackers and peanut butter. They do the exact same thing I would do with my sisters, spread peanut butter onto crackers and enjoy! The only difference is that we used to put sugar on top too! Oups.. haha
I’m excited to share with you a deliciously simple Kid-Friendly No Bake Peanut Butter Snack Bites recipe! We made these as a family the other day and they are OH SO DELICIOUS!

Kid-Friendly No Bake Peanut Butter Snack Bites recipe
Ingredients:
– 1 cup large flake rolled oats
– 1/2 cup Kraft Smooth Peanut Butter
– 1/4 cup honey
– 1/2 cup pitted dates
– 1/3 cup sunflower seeds (unsalted)
– 1/3 cup chia seeds

Instructions:
Step 1: Chop dates. As Gabrielle chopped the dates, Emanuelle watched attentively. She asked if she could chop some too, we figured it would be a great time for her to learn how to chop.

Since the dates are pitted and a little sticky they are very easy to chop (the knife doesn’t slip off the date). As you can see from the first photo, Emanuelle wasn’t holding the knife correctly, so Sébastien showed her how to hold the knife flat.

Step 2: We measured 1 cup of large flake rolled oats and placed it in a medium size bowl.

Step 3: Next it was time to measure 1/2 cup of Kraft Smooth Peanut Butter. The girls had fun filling the measuring cup and emptying it into the medium bowl. It was fun hearing them laugh as they tried to scoop out the peanut butter.

Step 4: We measured 1/4 cup of honey and placed it in the medium bowl.

Step 5: We added the 1/2 cup of chopped dates, 1/3 cup of sunflower seed, and 1/3 cup of chia seeds into the medium bowl.

Step 6: We mixed all the ingredients until well blended. Once blended, we had fun rolling our mixture into 1-inch balls using about 2 tbsp of the mixture.

Step 7: We placed our Kid-Friendly No Bake Peanut Butter Snack Bites into an air-tight container and placed the contained in the refrigerator. Let them chill for 20 to 30 minutes.
Step 8: ENJOY!
