Shrine Circus: More than a show

My family and I never had the chance to see a circus. I remember all those stories about clowns, tigers jumping through flaming hoops, people flying all over the place, etc… that I have heard over the years. Those stories are now wonderful memories, because last week, we had the chance to go to the Shrine Circus. The show was magical and we also had the chance to do a one on one grand tour with the ringmaster before the opening.

The Big Top

The excitement began when we saw a glance of the Big Top. The Shrine Circus is like a little village. All is behind the Big Top. When we arrived, all we could see were the stands for the tickets and the Big Top. I can tell you that we were pretty anxious to begin our grand tour with the ringmaster.

Behind the scene with the ringmaster

It’s amazing to go one on one with the ringmaster. She was super nice. She told us about the Shrine Circus history. Where she was from. She explained what the lifestyle is in a circus. From the performers to the animals, all are part of the family. You can see that she loves animals. She has six puppies living with her in her trailer.

She answered all of our questions. She also made our day when we went to wash an elephant.

The animals

Horses, tigers and elephants are the animals performing in the Shrine Circus. They all do amazing tricks. I liked the tigers the most. It’s impressing what well educated tigers can do.

Emanuelle even had a ride on an elephant! Which she thought was the coolest thing ever! And I agree!

The show

To see the performers do their tricks is breathtaking. They are extreme. The man juggling with his children with his feet is the one that I enjoyed the most.

Throughout the show our jaws dropped and I often covered my eyes, seriously.. that’s how extreme the show was!

The Shrine Circus is awesome. Everything about the show is great. It’s a lot of fun for children and adults. The animals look great and they are very well treated. The performers costumes are amazing. If you have the chance to go behind the scene with the ringmaster, jump on the opportunity. You will be able to feel all the passion behind this magical event.

If you would like to attend the show, I currently have a 2 for 1 discount code for you. Use the coupon code: FUN when purchasing your tickets. They are in St-Bruno, Qc until September 8th 2013 and then they will be in Laval, Qc from September 12th until September 22nd 2013.
