Valentine Craft { Heart Clip }

Valentine Crafts are so fun to create, especially when it involves making cute heart clips. My little Valentine, Gabrielle, asked to have something special to wear on Valentine’s Day. A Valentine Clip came right to my mind and I started working on it right away. Because I always have felt, embroidery thread and buttons in stock…this Valentine hair accessory was quickly put together.

Supplies:
– Felt
– Embroidery Thread
– Buttons
– Scissors
– Needle
– Glue gun
– Hair clips

Step #1: Cut a big heart and a small heart out of the felt. Step #2: Use your needle and embroidery thread to sew the hearts together. Step #3: Sew a button unto your heart. Step #4: Cut a piece of felt and take out a clip. Step #5: Place the clip (make sure it’s open) onto your heart and place the felt over part of the clip.  You’ll then glue the felt onto the heart.

And that’s it :)  Pretty simple!

I couldn’t stop with just the heart, so I also made a round one. hehe :)

Of course, I have to show you what the clips looks like on my daughter Gabrielle.

Can you tell that Gabrielle loves her new felt hair clip? If that’s a smile full of pride, I don’t know what is.

Have you created any crafts for V-Day yet? What are you planning on making? If you’re looking for some ideas, I have a few tutorials you might want to look at: Heart Cookies Recipe, V-Day Banners, Branch Tree with hearts and Art Easel for kids.

I believe I’m pretty much ready, I just need to decide what we will be doing for supper. Whether we will be making a special supper, ordering something or if we’ll go out. Decisions, Decisions :)

Have a FABULOUS day!

  1. Adorable!! And even more so is your daughter, how sweet she looks with the clip in her hair! I love how simple this is. But it looks like a million bucks! Almost makes me wish I had girls LOL!

  2. Hi Christine…

Thank you for stopping by 21 Rosemary Lane and leaving your lovely comment. Also thanks for the invite to your party here. I linked up one other Valentine's project as well. And to answer your question about how long it too me to cut out all those little flowers…mmm…almost 2 full episodes of Bonanza and half of a Murder She Wrote! So it took awhile.

I'm following you now too. Have a great day!!!
