Valentine Cupcakes that you can make from A to Z (diy valentine). The cupcakes are Strawberry with Lemon Buttercream Frosting, they are so YUMMY! I share how you can make your very own cupcake wrappers and toppers too. Perfect way to say ”I love you” to your loved ones on v-day.
Valentine Cupcake
To start off, you’ll need to make some Strawberry Cupcakes with Lemon Buttercream frosting. If you keep the recipe as is, you’ll get 24 cupcakes. If you want to learn how to frost cupcakes, I recommend you check out the new How-to Baking Videos from Martha Stewart. It shows many techniques, it’s a really great how-to tool for cakes and cupcakes (includes baking techniques).
Now that your cupcakes are done baking and are cool, you can start working on the wrappers and toppers.
Cupcake Wrappers and Toppers
Supplies:
- Scrapbook paper (Handmade Valentines 12×12 Paper Pad by Martha Stewart Crafts)
- Stickers (Handmade Valentines Stamp Stickers from Martha Stewart Crafts)
- Large toothpicks (I used hors d’oeuvre sticks)
- Hearts (I bought them at the dollar store)
- Foam Adhesive dots or tape
- Cupcake Wrapper template (I used this one)
- Scissors
- Pencil
*Martha Stewart Crafts are available at Michaels. #MarthaStewartCrafts #12MonthsofMartha
Instructions:
Step 1: Print out your cupcake template. Make sure you like the size of it. I cut mine down a little so that it wasn’t as wide and I made it longer to make sure it wrapped around my cupcake. Once you have the size you want, trace it onto scrapbook paper and cut it out. Step 2: Test wrap your wrapper around the cupcake and staple it together. Your cupcake wrapper is finished. Step 3: Take out the stickers, hearts and toothpicks. Cut squares of scrapbook paper, just a little larger than the stickers. Step 4: Stick the stickers onto the paper squares. Stick the hearts and the sticker squares onto toothpicks with the help of the foam adhesive tape. Voilà, you now have cupcake toppers too!

Now, wasn’t that simple?
I surprised my little family with these cupcakes last night and let me tell you.. they were a HIT!!
How could you not love these cupcakes? They are delicious, cute and they were entirely made with love!
I have two cupcakes left, I wonder if I should cut them in half and we’ll each have a half or keep them both for myself? Ummm… what would you do?
Hope you have a FABULOUS day!

P.S. I’ll be linking to these Parties.
Disclosure: Martha Stewart Crafts sent me supplies in order to create this project. The opinions in this post are 100% my own.
