How to make Garden Markers with Wooden Spoons

Learn how to make garden markers with wooden spoons for your garden.

Wooden spoon garden marker for peas in a garden.

I bought wood spoons a few years ago with the intention of making garden markers. I had so many ideas on how I would transform the wood spoons into garden markers.

At first I thought I would buy vegetable stickers or artwork and stick them on the spoons. I would then apply Mod Podge to seal them into place. Using the same sealing concept as the tile coasters I made a few years ago.

I even thought I could use the vegetable seed packets that the vegetable seeds come in. Cut the artwork and use Mod Podge.

I also thought about having my daughters’ paint vegetables on the spoons. I found these painted stone garden markers so cute!

As you can see, ideas weren’t lacking.. I just wasn’t getting around to doing it.

All that changed this year! I finally made garden markers!!

It helps that we are spending more time at home and have our very own vegetable garden to tend to.
