Stylish Bobby Pins – DIY Hair Jewels

I’ve been working on little gifts for my daughters for Valentine’s Day. I’ve already made them Charm Necklaces ($3 each) that I’m quite proud of. I also wanted to make something for them to put in their hair. That’s when I decided I would make them Stylish Bobby Pins.

These cute little hair pins are VERY EASY and inexpensive to make! Oh and very quick to put together. I already had bobby pins on hand (they had cost me $1 for a pack) and I bought the pack of jewels for $1 at the dollar store. Of course you also need glue to attach them, which I also had on hand. So the entire project cost me next to nothing and I was able to make a bunch of cute bobby pins.

Stylish Bobby Pins

Supplies:
– Bobby pins (Regular bobby pins or bobby pins with flat head)
– Jewels (or anything you might want to use to decorate)
– Glue (Jewelry Glue or Krazy Glue)
– Piece of cardboard
– Wax Paper

How to make custom hair pins

Instructions:
Step 1: I placed the bobby pins onto a piece of cardboard (this is to make sure they stay straight).  Step 2: I applied glue onto the flat head bobby pins and placed the jewels on them. Step 3: Allow to dry.

I also made some with regular bobby pins, I assume most of you have regular bobby pins to work with.

Do you like them? Do you think Gabrielle and Emanuelle will like them?
I think I made them enough jewelry stuff for Valentine’s Day, now I should figure out a treat to make them.

Hope you’re having a fabulous day!

P.S. I’ll be linking to these Parties.
