Felt Christmas Ornaments
There’s something about making ornaments out of felt that makes me happy.
I’m not sure if it’s because I can completely let my imagination go or because working with felt is easy.
Felt comes in pretty much any color imaginable, which means almost anything can be transformed into felt.
It’s easy to cut and can be assembled easily with hot glue or thread.
It’s simply my favorite crafting supply.
I’ve made various things with felt, like ribbon and felt bookmarks, hair accessories, Christmas bookmarks, and more.
My favorite thing to make with felt are ornaments.
- Vintage style felt Christmas ornaments
- Elf Boots Felt Christmas Ornaments
- Wool Socks Felt Christmas Ornaments
Now it’s time for me to show you how I made my latest felt Christmas ornaments: Santa Boots Felt Christmas Ornaments!!

How to make Santa Boots Felt Christmas Ornaments
Supplies:
- Santa boots printable template
- Black felt
- White faux fur
- Black ribbon
- Gold ribbon
- Polyester filling

Tools:
- Printer
- Scissors
- Sewing clips
- Pins
- Hot glue
Instructions:
Step 1: Print out the Santa boots printable template.

Step 2: Cut out the Santa boots template.

Step 3: Fold black felt in half and keep into place with sewing clips.

Step 4: Pin the Santa boot over the black felt.

Step 5: Cut out the boots, revealing two boots.

Step 6: Hot glue the two felt boots together by applying glue on the contour, working in sections.

Step 7: Insert filling inside the boot.

Step 8: Place the big rectangle on the back of the white faux fur and pin it into place.

Step 9: Cut out the rectangle, which will reveal the boot cuff.
P.S. If you want an extra fluffy cuff, please read my notes a little below.

Remove the loose fluff.

If you find the fur cuff not fluffy enough. Position the rectangle on the fluffy top edge of the faux fur.

Once cut out, you will notice that it’s fluffier.

Here’s the difference between both fur cuffs:

I personally prefer the fluffier cuff on the right.
Step 10: Attach the fur cuff onto the top edge of the felt Santa boot.

Step 11: Using the measurement of the small rectangle as a guide, cut a piece of gold ribbon.

Step 12: Glue the piece of gold ribbon over the edge of the dip in the boot to make a buckle.

Step 13: Cut a piece of black ribbon 8″ long. Fold it and glue the end inside the boot.
