Out of the Ordinary Spring Break Activity
When spring break comes around my daughters and I are ready for SPRING and activities that are out of the ordinary. Activities that will make us forget that there’s still snow on the ground are the activities we look forward to. Since my husband works through spring break, no traveling to warm tropical islands. So it means that we must get creative.
Out of the Ordinary Spring Break Activity

Our favorite activity to do during spring break is visiting our local zoo. Yes, a zoo! Our local zoo is open for a full week during spring break and it’s magical! Have you ever visited a zoo while there’s still snow on the ground? Let me tell you, it’s something you should look into.
Visiting a zoo during the warmer months is fun, but it’s also hot and crowded. Crowds can make you feel rushed and often the animals are well hidden in their favorite shady spot. It’s the complete opposite during spring break. No crowds and you can see the animals up close. It’s absolutely peaceful and relaxing. The kids can take as much time as they want soaking in each animal. They can even take selfies with their favorite hippopotamus.

They can take their time feeding Rainbow Lorikeets. When I say take their time, this is no joke. When we went last year, Emanuelle stayed with the Rainbow Lorikeets for about 30 minutes. She absolutely loves it when they fly around her and perch themselves on her.

I, myself, could spend the entire day watching the jellyfish dance. Absolutely breathtaking and peaceful!

What does your family typically do during Spring Break? Do you stay around home or do you travel? If you stay around home, what are your favorite activities to do? For those of you who travel, what kind of preparations do you do before traveling? Do you bring probiotics for yourself and probiotic powder for the kids? I asked because next time we travel, we’ll be bringing some along. Being sick is no fun, especially on vacation! I’m talking from experience… ugh. Seriously, is there anything worse than being sick while on vacation?!

Even though we LOVE visiting our local zoo during spring break, I’m kind of hoping that next year we’ll be able to travel to a little tropical island. It would be nice to take photos with a sand castle that looks like a sea monster.

Have a GREAT day!
