Looking for a refreshing drink? This Cafe Mocha Frappe Recipe is absolutely delicious and very easy to make. BONUS: Mocha Frappe Recipe for Kids.
My family and I have been making our very own delicious Cafe Mocha Frappe for the last couple of years. It’s absolutely delicious and really easy to make. And just now have I realized that I have never shared the recipe with you. OUPS! I know you’ll love it too! It’s something that I like to treat ourselves to at the end of the afternoon when Sébastien comes home from work. It’s a nice treat!
What’s really nice about this recipe is that you can easily customize it to your taste. Add more coffee, less coffee, more milk, less milk, more chocolate syrup, less chocolate syrup, maybe add a dash of sugar? Or perhaps add whipped cream?! I think you get my point. haha
To make a frappe or anything that you need to have crushed ice, it’s important to have a good blender. A good blender with an ice crushing feature that actually works. I’ve owned many blenders with the ice crushing feature and all of them have disappointed me. My last blender was the worse, it would start smelling like burnt toast as it would try to crush the ice. I’d have to stop it every 5 seconds, unplug it, move around the ice, plug it back in, turn it back on, and continue this process until the ice was sorta crushed. The ice wouldn’t even fit through my straw until I let the frappe melt a little. hehe Not very pleasant.
Right now I have a Breville blender that works MAGICALLY! It’s called the Hemisphere™ Control and boy do I love it. Honestly, I was starting to think that all blenders were unable to crush ice until I tried out this blender. Ice has no chance against the extra wide stainless steel ice-crushing blades! Its central blades draw down what’s on top and wide sweeping blades hug the bottom of the jug. The perfect combination for velvety cocktails and creamier smoothies! Yum! Its 48 ounce Eastman Tritan™ copolyester jug means you can make big batches of your favorite drinks! It has 8 task controls and a timer. Did I mention that I love it? Cafe Mocha Frappe Recipe
Ingredients: (makes one glass)
– 6 Coffee Ice Cubes (To make coffee ice cubes, pour your favorite coffee in an ice-cube tray and place it in the freezer until frozen.)
– 3/4 cup of Milk
– 2 tbsp of Chocolate Syrup
- Place 6 coffee ice cubes in your blender. (I did a double batch so that Sébastien could have a glass too, so I actually put 12 coffee ice cubes in the blender.
- Pour 3/4 cup of milk in the blender. (As I mentioned above, I made a double batch so I actually put 1 1/2 cups.)
- Pour 2 tbsp of chocolate syrup in the blender. (I put 4 tbsp.)
- Place the cover on your blender.
- Use the ice-crushing feature to crush and blend your ingredients.
- Once everything is well blended, pour it into a glass(es).
- Enjoy!!
Like I mentioned previous, this recipe is completely customizable. Add more/less coffee, milk, chocolate syrup, and you can even add a little sugar and/or whipped cream if you’d like. Keep playing around with it until you have the perfect combination for you. You can also make stronger coffee to give it a stronger coffee taste.
Since we enjoy these quite frequently, my daughters have been begging me to make some for them. Of course I won’t give them a coffee version, so I have made them their very own Mocha Frappe!

This looks delish and so much easier than other recipes I have tried. My toddler is always asking for some of mine so I should try making her one too!

These look great! My son is starting to show an interest in coffee drinks but since he’s only 10 I keep it decaf and as a special treat. He will LOVE this! (found you Creative Ways)
