Flameless Christmas Candles
Learn how to decorate flameless candles for Christmas. These flameless Christmas candles are very easy to decorate and make great centerpieces.

My oldest daughter lives away at College and is not allowed to have candles at her residence. Since she loves Christmas and candles, I thought I would decorate fake candles for her.
I bought realistic flameless candles that run with LED lights and are covered with wax. These fake pillar candles look so real.

Battery operated flameless LED wax pillar candles.

I could have inserted them in etched candle holders like I have made in the past, it would look super cute and still be flameless. However to change it up a little, I decided to decorate them instead.

How to decorate flameless candles
Supplies:
- Flameless LED wax pillar candle
- Jute twine
- Greenery
- Plastic berries
Tools:
- Scissors
- Hot glue
Instructions:
Step 1: Remove plastic wrapping around the candles.

Step 2: Cut a piece of twine long enough to wrap around the candle a few times.

Step 3: Wrap the jute twine around the bottom part of the candle.

Step 4: Add a piece of plastic greenery on the front by inserting part of it inside the twine.

P.S. I used plastic greenery, but I don’t see why I couldn’t have used fresh greenery. I’m sure it would smell great. You’d just need to replace it out once it gets dry.

Step 5: Wrap the twine towards the back and tuck in the ends inside the wrap.
You can also use hot glut to fasten the twine, just make sure to put the hot glue on the twine and not the candle.
The candle is wax covered and hot glue will not stick.

Step 6: Use hot glue to attach plastic berries onto the greenery.

Again, a reminder to put the glue on the greenery and not the wax candle.

Step 7: Repeat the steps above on the other candle.

Flameless Christmas candles

The candles look so good, right? I’m thinking they would look great on wood pillar candle holders too!

They even have a timer too, so no need to constantly switch them off and on. They are the same type of candles that I used for the Christmas tree wood lantern that we made.
I hope you have enjoyed this super easy Christmas craft! Let me know if you make some too!
Have a great day!
These candles sound great and a wonderful alternative to real candles when safety is an issue. You’ve made them look so festive. Thank you for sharing with us at Handmade Monday :-)
