Graham & Brown Wallpaper Week – First Edition

Happy Wallpaper Week! This is this first edition of the Graham & Brown Wallpaper Week. To celebrate Wallpaper Week, Graham & Brown have developed 7 Feelings of Wallpaper. Each day of the week has its own Feelings theme.

The 7 Feelings of Wallpaper:
Monday – Date Night, Tuesday – Calm, Wednesday – Inspired, Thursday – Nostalgic,
Friday – Funky, Saturday – Glamorous, and Sunday – Social.

Aren’t these themes really fun? I find Thursday’s theme Nostalgic especially inspiring. How about we talk about that theme a little more?

Graham & Brown Wallpaper Week – Nostalgic

The Nostalgic theme is all about things that are sentimental to you: makes you feel all fuzzy inside. Like the feeling you get when you see your favorite blanket in an old photo of you as a child. Perhaps the feeling that comes over you when you walk into the home you grew up in and see the height markings on the wall of you and your siblings.

I’ve been adding more and more nostalgic items into my decor. Like the antique door that once hung in my great-grand-parents’ home. I also added another unique piece, that I will share it with you in another post. There’s something special about displaying our treasures in our home. I find they radiate the sense of home.

There’s something about Graham & Brown’s Northern Rose Blue / Pink Wallpaper that just screams HOME to me. Every time I see it a special feeling comes over me. Maybe it’s the roses that to me represent my Dad’s rose garden. Perhaps its vintage feel reminds me of my parents’ 1890’s home? Pink and Blue are both my daughters’ favorite colors. There’s just so much about that wallpaper that speaks to me.

Isn’t it special? I’m determined to incorporate that wallpaper somewhere in my home. I just can’t quite decide where though. Do I do an entire wall? Perhaps I could wallpaper a piece of furniture? I just know that no matter where I put it in my home, each time I will glance at it a nostalgic feeling will come over me.
