Husband & Father: Family comes first, family is forever

How blessed are my daughters and I are to have such a wonderful man in our lives. He demonstrates every single day how much he loves us. He always puts our needs before his. I could not have married a better man and my daughters could not be blessed with a better father. We are so lucky that Sébastien is ours.

Husband & Father: Family comes first, family is forever

About 5 years ago, 2 weeks before the end of my maternity leave with Emanuelle I found out I had no job to return to. I was crushed, I loved my job, I had been working at the same place for almost 11 years! Because I had been on maternity leave for the last year, I was not entitled to any financial help from the government to help me out until I found a new job. (Totally sucks, especially since I had been paying into the system for 11 years, yet not entitled to any help!) I felt awful, I felt helpless.

I tried to figure out what I would do next. No matter what, I needed to decide fast. With Gabrielle starting school that fall I wasn’t sure what type of job I should get. School ends at 2:20pm every day, couple days off here and there throughout the year, and then there’s summer vacation. You know what happened? My superhero husband suggested that I could stay home. Do you know the sense of relief that came over me when he suggested it? Unreal! He said that we would make it work. And we have. Every day he goes to work putting our family first, and every evening he comes home with a smile, happy to see his family happy.

Sébastien always shows us that what he treasures the most is our happiness. Seeing us happy, makes him happy. I know, I’m so lucky! Would you like to know the best part? What makes us happy is having him in our lives. So what does he do to make sure he stays around? He puts a lot of time into his health! He eats really well, drinks plenty of water, and exercises every single day. I love that he takes care of his health as much as he takes care of our family.

We love you Sébastien, we are so lucky to have you!
