Fall brings busy schedule and much more!
In our household we love fall. We love the weather and we love all the fall colors. What we don’t like so much are fall allergies and our crazy busy schedule. Yes, I said fall allergies! Sébastien has had allergies for as long as I can remember. Guess who decided to follow in her dad’s footsteps? Gabrielle now has allergies too! Ughh! I’ve been giving her Orange Naturals Seasonal Allergies for Kids and it’s been helping her a lot! I’m hoping Emanuelle will be like me and not have allergies!

Fall Brings Busy Schedule
Homework Routine
I’m happy to report that our back to school routine is working really well. In fact, so well that the girls have decided to start their homework as soon as they get home from school. I’ve also noticed that having both of them sit at the kitchen table to do their homework rather than sit wherever they want helps a lot. I sit with them at the table and help out whenever they need me. Gabrielle has been enjoying helping out her little sister too! I must say that the new routine is making all our after school running around go much smoother. No more worrying about when to fit in homework time.

Week Night Activities
Every member of our family has an activity one night during the week. Gabrielle and Ema both have dance classes, Sébastien has hockey, and I play indoor Broomball. Oh, I just remembered that Gabrielle will actually have 3 activities a week; music classes and catechesis classes will also be on the agenda. Talk about busy!

It sometimes feels like the only thing we are doing is going from one place to the other and no time to relax. However, when we look at the big picture, we realize that all the running around is worth it. We all get to enjoy special activities that we want to participate in. So it’s a good kind of busy.

Too busy to catch a cold?
I have noticed that being busy busy busy does sometimes brings a long more chances of catching a cold. Have you noticed that too? It seems like you run around constantly and then when you finally take a breather to relax, it seems like a cold decided to sneak up on you. Maybe it’s our body’s way to say to slow down a little? When that happens I like to take Cough + Cold Night before going to bed, it helps me out quite a bit.

It’s so good to know that there’s something more natural to handle allergies. I think that I’m getting Fall allergies for the first time, but I don’t want to spend the entire season in a antihistamine fog!
September just kicked me in the booty. I was soooo overwhelmed. The kids got colds. Sigh.
Ugh. I feel your pain about being too busy to catch a cold. Who has time for that? Thanks for the suggestions of ways to stay healthy this fall!
It’s so busy when getting back to school – glad you’re in a routine that works for you. I’ve already fought off one cold, I definitely don’t have time to be sick! Orange Naturals sounds great.
I love Fall and the back to routine days even though a bit busier. We were all sick a few weeks ago and it was a real set back
I hear ya! Back to school is busy and I definitely don’t have time to take off for a cold! My kids and I both use Cough and Cold the minute we get a snuffle. 9x out of 10 it stops the cold in its tracks
