How to transform stickers into earrings.

My daughters love jewelry, as you already know, and lucky for them, I like making it for them. I especially love making jewelry that’s inexpensive to make, so that I won’t cry if they lose them.

When we go shopping the girls love checking out the scrapbooking section. There’s something about the embellishments that just draw them in, heck.. I don’t blame them, so many cute things to use to decorate.

The thing is, my girls don’t really scrapbook. So when they see these oh so cute embellishments, they want them just because… no plans of doing something with them.

Unless you do this with them:

Yes, you can transform them into earrings!

The best part, it’s as easy as 1-2-3. Or perhaps I should say as easy as 1-2.

Using the same technique as my DIY Button Earrings you can make earrings out of scrapbook embellishments or stickers!

Gem Stickers to Gem Earrings

Supplies:

• Embellishments (stickers, rhinestones, buttons, etc…)
• Jewelry glue
• Wax paper
• Earring settings (flat earring posts)
• Earring backings

Instructions:

Step 1: Remove the embellishment stickers from the packaging. If the sticky part of the stickers can easily be removed, remove it.

Step 2: Place the embellishments and earring settings on a piece of wax paper, to protect your work surface from the glue.

Apply a drop of jewelry glue on the back of the embellishments and attach the earring settings.

Guess what?

Once the glue is dry, you’re done! That’s it!

They are pretty cute right?

Gabrielle and Emanuelle are quite excited about having zebra print earrings in various colors and sizes! hehe I’m not sure I would wear them, not quite my style. hehe
