What to do if you lose an earring?

I have a few pairs of dangle earrings that for some reason are no longer in a pair. I have been keeping them in case I find the lost earrings, especially since some of those earrings are special to me.

I found the perfect way to wear them again, by changing them into pendants! Yes that’s right, you can turn a lost earring into a pendant!

The idea came to me when I was wearing my grandmother’s cardinal earrings. I found them super cute but not something I would wear everyday.

While I looked at them and admired how they were nice and dainty, I thought they would make super cute pendants!

Since I have two, I could even give each of my daughters one as a little keepsake from their great grandmother.

How to attach a Pendant to a Necklace

If the pendant’s jump ring is too small for the chain to fit, open it and insert the chain then close it with pliers.

That’s precisely what I had to do for the pendants I made with my grandmother’s cardinal earrings.

I absolutely love how the pendants turned out!

Do you have earrings you would like to transform into pendants?

Or perhaps you’d like to do the reverse. You can use the same steps in reverse to make pendants into earrings!

You could also use the pendants as charms on silk wrap bracelets! That would be a great way to use a bunch of single earrings.

You can also make ornaments from earrings! They make beautiful sparkly ornaments!

I'm forever losing earrings, especially in the winter, I think it's when I take a sweater or scarf off when out and don't notice an earring has been knocked out. Anyway, I'm always looking for ways to reuse the odd one and not waste them. This earringnowpendant is very pretty so it was great you found a new way to enjoy it.
