Dreaming of an Ultimate Kitchen Makeover? #FinishYourKitchen
As I mentioned a few weeks ago, my kitchen is in desperate need of a makeover. Not just a few little touches, but everything needs to be redone. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen and I dread being in it. The only thing I like in my kitchen is the tiled back-splash, everything else has to go!
Let me remind you of how it looks right now:

Goodness, if I would win an Ultimate Kitchen makeover, I would drop the idea of refinishing my cupboards and actually get BRAND NEW ones!! The bottom cupboards would all be big drawers. Drawers are way easier to grab stuff you want, rather than having to take everything out to get to the back of the cupboard. Ughh..
New appliances would be on my list too. Why? Well a new kitchen isn’t a new kitchen without new appliances! Not sure if I would stick to white or go with stainless? What do you think? Would stainless make my kitchen look even smaller?
I’d also change the flooring. I’m tired of the linoleum flooring I have. I would update the floor with hard wood or perhaps cork flooring (something my mother has suggested). I’d go with something not too dark.

WOW! I can’t even start to dream about what I would do to my kitchen with $10,000. Yes, new appliances are a must…I don’t think stainless steal would make it smaller. What about a farm house sink? I have always thought that those were cool. New flooring and cabinets go without saying. I think a bay window over the sink would be nice too.

I think that your kitchen has good bones and lots of potential. Your layout is identical to that of my previous house, which I never got around to renovating. Whomever wins one of those ten kitchen makeovers will be so lucky!
