Looking for a fun way to decorate for Halloween? Perhaps you are hosting a Halloween party and you would like to make your own centerpiece? How about creating a Skull Floral Arrangement Halloween Centerpiece!
We haven’t made any Halloween decorations for years.
I’m not really sure why we haven’t made any. I think our last Halloween project were skull bracelets, and they were really fun to make.
I do enjoy Halloween, but I think I prefer making Christmas decorations. hehe However, things have changed this year…
Gabrielle and I decided to go shopping at Michaels and before we walked in they had a fabulous display of plastic flowers just outside the store on liquidation.
Gabrielle’s eyes widen at the sight of all the flowers.
She asked if she could pick a few out because she would like to decorate a pumpkin with them. I figured, why not… and I let her pick a few flowers.
Once we got into the store and starting walking around the Halloween aisle, Gabrielle came across a styrofoam skull and once again, I saw her eyes widen.
She asked if we could buy the styrofoam skull because she had a really fun project in mind. Since it was also on special, I figured why not. hehe
Want to see what she made?
She made a Skull Floral Arrangement! Isn’t it beautiful?!
So instead of decorating a pumpkin with the flowers, she decided to decorate the skull. It turned out wonderful!

Halloween Centerpiece – Skull Floral Arrangement
Supplies:
- Plastic Flowers – Silk Flowers
- Styrofoam Skull
- Scissors
- Hot glue
Here’s a close-up of the flowers Gabrielle picked out:
Aren’t they beautiful?
Instructions:
Step 1: Gabrielle determined where she wanted to put the big green flower.
Step 2: Once Gabrielle knew where she wanted to place the first flower, she trimmed the stem down using scissors.
She debated whether she would insert the stem directly through the skull, however she decided hot glue would be best.
With hot glue she would be able remove the flowers from the skull if ever she decided to do something else with the skull.
Step 3: Gabrielle then took out the hot glue gun and put some glue on the flower stem and placed it on the skull where she had decided it would go.
Step 4: She proceeded to cut the stem of the other flowers and hot gluing them onto the skull.
Step 5: Because the hot glued stems were all exposed, she covered them up by hot gluing leaves from the flowers over them.
And voilà, she had created this beautiful….
Skull Floral Arrangement
Look how proud she is of her creation:
I just LOVE LOVE LOVE how it turned out!
She did such a great job!
And.. what do you think of Gabrielle’s Halloween Centerpiece?
