Summer Fun with my Family! Enjoying special moments!

We’ve had such a great summer so far. We’ve enjoyed many special moments together! And I’m so happy that we still have at least another full month of summer weather ahead of us! I say “at least” because September has been surprising us with warm weather the last few years!

Horseback Riding

The girls have both had horseback riding lessons. It started with Emanuelle’s lessons and then Gabrielle asked for lessons too for her birthday. Watching them learning how to ride a horse has been so fun. Seeing their beautiful smiles as they ride is absolutely priceless.

Summer fun at the pool

We’ve also spent a lot of time at the my parents’ pool. We’ve been having fun filling plastic water bottles with water, throwing them in the pool and seeing who finds them the fastest.

Back in the day we would throw pennies in the pool, but now with the drain in the pool, the drain will suck them up. However, believe it or not, finding the bottles isn’t that easy. We remove the labels and use clear bottles, so they are actually hard to see.

This activity has also taught Emanuelle to swim at the bottom of the pool. She’s been swimming without swim aids for 3 years, however she would rarely swim down in the bottom of the pool. Now Emanuelle swims at the bottom and can even pick up 3 bottles at once!

Let’s Party!

Summer also means a lot of parties around here. I believe we’ve been to at least 7 birthday parties since June including Miss Gabrielle’s 10th birthday! I still can’t believe she’s 10 already! CRAZY!

Ice Cream Outings

One of my favorite things this summer are our walks to a new ice cream parlor. You probably saw a bunch of photos on my Instagram feed. We’ve been enjoying fresh gelato! My favorite is probably raspberry! DELICIOUS!

Bug Bites are no fun!

The only down side about summer, especially this year, we’ve had a lot of rain. And I do mean A LOT! With all the rain, the bugs have been crazy this summer! So many more bug bites than usual. We been getting bites everywhere we go, whether we are at the pool, out for a walk, sitting at the deck, etc… Very unpleasant! Lucky though, we’ve been getting relief from the pain and itching with Orange Naturals Bites + Stings.

P.S. Orange Naturals now has Homeopathic Creams! Which I’m so excited about!
